You are looking for an unusual winter-friendly micro in a shrub near the lowest trail along the river bank. Watch out for cyclists!
Ursus maritimus saskatoonis is known locally as the Saskatoon Polar Bear. It is much smaller than its northern cousin and tends to hang around trees and bushes along river banks. These bears generally subsist on fish, cyclists, geocaches, geocachers and bear bells, but all in rather small sizes.
