WSGA-PS 2017 Holiday Party Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

WSGA Puget Sound: Unfortunately this cache didn't last as long as we all would have liked, but it's pretty likely we'll hide another one for the 2018 party, so we're going to let this one go for now. Thanks to those that looked for this cache and have supported the Puget Sound Events!
Thanks,
WSGA Puget Sound

Geocache Description:

WSGA 2017 Holiday Party Cache
This cache is located in just off of the Cedar to Green River Trail.  The closest parking is Maple Valley Community Center parking lot.  From there it's just a few hundred feet to the cache.

You might have noticed that there are two other caches very close by to honor the annual WSGA Puget Sound Holiday party.  For the last several years we have been holding the annual Holiday party at the Maple Valley Community Center.  This parking lot is also shared with the Maple Valley Historical society.  This is a really great place, they are open the first Saturday of each month from 10AM - 2PM if you happen to be here then you should take the time to check it out.  Even if they are closed take a few minutes to read the signs and take in a little history lesson.

The closest parking is in the parking lot at the coordinates provided in the additional waypoints on this cache, as you begin to navigate on foot from your car to the cache you will want to walk towards and then behind the building that says WD Gibbon General Merchandise.  Though unmarked this is an official entrance to the Green River Trail, once behind the building you will see a information sign and stairs leading down to the trail.  Be aware it is about 25 stairs, but they aren't to steep and there is a hand rail.  Alternatively you could park at the Lake wilderness Arboretum and walk over it's about .4 miles from there.  Cache WSGA & LWA is in the Arboretum and is on your way should you choose to park there.
