Geocache Description:

I'm looking forward to geocaching in NYC this year. My sense of excitement at the prospect is amplified by all the wonderful bridges I may see or cross while on geo-adventures there. I think bridges are beautiful and a real joy to behold. Follow along with me as we explore details about several popular NYC bridges.

The cache is not hidden at the marked location. BYOP! I bring you the challenging fun of solving a puzzle in order to find it. BYOP! Fair warning, you may learn some fun facts about several NYC's beautiful bridges as you work your way to the solution. BYOP!

The final coordinates are revealed to the diligent geocacher upon successfully completing this formula.

N 39 2 A . B C 2  W 76 24 . E F G

A = Take the last digit of the year when the Brooklyn Bridge was designated a National Historic Landmark and divide by 2. Then subtract 1.
B = The Williamsburg Bridge opened in 1903. Count the characters in the architect's first and last name, let that equal CHARCOUNT. Count the vowels in his first and last name and subtract 1, let that equal VOWELCOUNTMOD.  Divide CHARCOUNT by VOWELCOUNTMOD, let that equal ILOVENY.  Subtract 2 from ILOVENY.
C = The introduction of the 70's TV show, 'Taxi', was filmed on a popular NYC bridge that starts with the letter 'Q.'  This bridge is known to locals by another name The last character in that name minus six.
E = Use the year the Triborough Bridge was open for traffic. Take the second digit and subtract the third, add the first, substract the last. Then add 2.
F = The Verazzano Narrows Bridge design has a number of decks, multiply that by three. Then, subtract 2.
G = The Manhattan Bridge, take the total number of vehicle lanes on the upper level and add the first digit of the day the bridge opened to the public. Then, subtract 2.
