Look out Huskisson!
Here we come!!!
Geocaching NSW would like to extend an invitation to all geocachers to travel to Huskisson located in the beautiful Shoalhaven area for our 2018 Regional Expedition during the weekend of the 24th/25th February.
Huskisson is around a 3 hour drive from Sydney and is well within the reach of many geocachers.
There are lots of fabulous geocaches to be found in this region so why not team up with a few friends and enjoy a fantastic weekend of geocaching fun.
On the Saturday evening, we will meet at Club Jervis Bay for an enjoyable dinner get-together. According to their website, 'The Bayview' offers a relaxed dining experience with stunning water views and an exquisite menu.
Event details are as follows:
Date: Saturday, 24th February, 2018
Venue: Club Jervis Bay - 2-8 Currambene Street, Huskisson
Time: 6:30pm meet in the club; tables booked from 7:00
Menu: We will be dining in 'The Bayview'. The menu features a variety of contemporary meals as well as old favourites. There are vegetarian, gluten-free and lactose-free options.
Cost: Meals can be paid for at time of ordering.
Bookings: To assist us with determining numbers for this event so tables can be booked, could you please indicate how many from your team will be dining with us in your “Will Attend” log. Based on the information provided in those logs, we will be confirming numbers with the club on Thursday, 15th February.
Dress: Normal club dress regulations apply including footwear.
After dining, for those who would like to, we will gather in one of the club's lounge areas to continue our socialising. If there are geocachers who would like to attend this event but don't wish to dine with us, then this would be the time to come along. If this is what you prefer, in your "Will Attend" log, could you please indicate that you will not be dining with us.
There is plenty of accommodation around Huskisson including B&Bs, hotels, motels, caravan and camping parks. An internet search will come up with a number of options for you to choose from.
Events are a great way to meet new people and make new friends with a common interest, pick up the latest information on equipment, techniques and software and share stories about the latest caching adventure. You may even pick up a hint or two on those annoying DNFs.
