Look out Huskisson!
Here we come!!!
Geocaching NSW would like to extend an invitation to all geocachers to travel to Huskisson located in the beautiful Shoalhaven area for our 2018 Regional Expedition during the weekend of the 24th/25th February.
Huskisson is around a 3 hour drive from Sydney and is well within the reach of many geocachers.
There are lots of fabulous geocaches to be found in this region so why not team up with a few friends and enjoy a fantastic weekend of geocaching fun.
On the Sunday, we will enjoy a Meet’n’Greet event at scenic Voyager Park. There are some picnic shelters and a kiosk/cafe nearby. There’s a children’s playground as well as convenient toilet facilities. The nearby beach and pool are ideal for swimming if the weather is nice!
Event details are as follows:
Date: Sunday, 25th February, 2018
Venue: Voyager Memorial Park - enter off corner of Owen & Hawke Streets
Cost: nil.
Time: 10:30am to 1:30pm.
What to bring: Please BYO all personal food and drink requirements. Folding chairs and/or a picnic rug is always a good idea.
Group Photograph: The official Expedition Event Group Photograph will be taken at 12:00 midday so hope you can be there for that.
There is plenty of accommodation around Huskisson including B&Bs, hotels, motels, caravan and camping parks. An internet search will come up with a number of options for you to choose from.
Events are a great way to meet new people and make new friends with a common interest, pick up the latest information on equipment, techniques and software and share stories about the latest caching adventure. You may even pick up a hint or two on those annoying DNFs.
