One of my favorite things about San Francisco is discovering all of the hidden, out of sight, obcure oddities within the city. Geocaching has helped me find (and point out) some of them. This cache is to honor one of those things - the diorama that once resided a few paces away.
The diorama was inside of the peephole at 2411. It changed every so often. For a few years, I would stop by to see what new thing was hidden inside the peephole every couple months. At some point in 2016, I looked in, and much to my disappointment there was nothing there anymore. Now the peephole is black. I haven't been able to find any information about it online, but I suspect the building next door might have had something to do with the diorama. In any case, I miss this little oddity being nearby.
