FORT CUMBERLAND, EASTNEY, PORTSMOUTH

Following the success of previous CITO events in Portsmouth, the Countryside Service of Portsmouth City Council have kindly agreed to allow Geocachers to help clear a stretch of the coastal heathland near to Fort Cumberland, Eastney, Portsmouth as part of the Great British Spring Clean weekend.
Please arrive shortly before 1 o/c so that a health & safety briefing can be given. Litter pickers and bags will be given out, but if you have your own gloves and litter pickers you are welcome to bring them along. We will be aiming for completion of the CITO by 2.30pm.
You may wish to bring food and drink, although there are facilities in the general area. Plenty of free parking is available at the above co-ordinates, but you can also access the location by foot or bike. There are a number of geocaches in the area that you may also want to attempt before or after the CITO. Enjoy the day and help improve the environment.
