Another cache to continue the fantastic joint effort geotrail down the Majura Parkway. The trail commenced before we discovered geocaching, but we would like to add our contribution.
The Majura Parkway is 11.5km of dual carriageway, containing an on-road bike path and an off-road shared path. Construction of the Parkway was completed in April 2016. The Parkway links the Federal Highway to the Monaro Highway. The Parkway was estimated to cost $288 million, and was delivered on budget despite contractor setbacks. The Parkway was promoted as a freight link for loads from southern NSW going to Sydney and Melbourne and for produce from the Riverina heading to Canberra airport to catch a direct flight to Asia.
The cache is magnetic and is on the parkway side of the fence, close to the ground. It is on the opposite side of the bike path from the drainage pipe.
You may need some tweezers to get the log out of the cache.
