A nice and relatively easy cache but best done on a fine day to enjoy the stunning sweeping panoramic views out over the Hutt Valley around over the harbour to Wellington City.
The cache is only a relatively short five minute walk from the suggested trailhead (below). After 100m take the signposted trail left up towards Acacia Ave and Sugarloaf Rock. Care needs to be taken as conditions can get slippery underfoot with exposed roots to trip feet. As you get higher it gets rocky and more exposed. At the top, take the short rocky track to the right to find a seat to enjoy the sweeping views. The seat is tucked down just a bit which will help with some shelter from any northerly winds and give you a place to comfortably sign the log. It'll be fully exposed to any southerlies.
This location was the site of two earlier caches by blondie-n-baldie and ADV (Sugar High!). Thanks to ADV for originally bringing me here to experience the views.
Please exercise caution when at the look out and retrieving the cache, there are some steep drop offs.
Usual logging requirements please, you must sign the logbook for each individual cacher otherwise your log may be deleted. It would be appreciated if you would please rehide the cache how you found it, hopefully tucked away, as we really don't want it to get muggled.
