Geocache Description:

Placed for the 2018 Winter Janboree.

Strategy games - you have to love them!  This series of caches highlights some of the most popular strategy games.  Be sure to check the log to see if there is a number needed for the coordinates for the final.

Ticket to Ride is a railway themed board game, released in 2004.  At the beginning of the main game, players are dealt four train car cards as their playing hand. They are also dealt three Destination Ticket cards, each of which shows a pair of cities on the map. These become goals, representing two end-points which players are secretly attempting to connect. Recommended for ages 8 and up.  Game time is approximately 60 minutes.

A letterbox hybrid, like this one, is both a geocache and a letterbox. It can include both coordinates and clues to get you to the final location. Follow the instructions in the following paragraphs to be directed to the actual cache location. Contents include a stamp (do not take) and stamp pad for letterboxing, as well as a log book for geocachers and letterboxers.

At the posted coordinates you will find the place to begin your "ticket to ride". Feel free to browse for reading material to take on your journey. You will then want to walk approximately 190 feet northeast where you will find yourself at a modern mid-evil castle.

Look around and find the way to enter the castle. Walk up and cross the moat. Exit the castle via the steps or the slide.

Continue SE toward the basketball court. Do not stop to play tennis. Take time to sit in the bleachers and watch a baseball game if the season is right.

Next, walk east past the JOBOX, making your way past third base toward left field. Walk past the three trees and you will arrive at the fence line.

Make your way to the moat, watching out for alligators which occasionally come through the grates. Walk west, through the moat, between the fences, toward the backstop. You will be by the itty bitty baseball field. Walk north toward the gate and walk through it.

Now enter the gate immediately to your right. You will find yourself on the track. Watch out for chariots. Head north approximately 115 feet where you will begin your search.
