Welcome to the Lincoln Lake Trails!
On our first journey out here, a particular tree caught our eye, and we thought we'd bring more attention to it. So as the saying goes, immitation is the best form of flattery... we have taken an idea introduced up in Benton County to this area. Unfortunately, we weren't able to make it a letterbox, but hey... new mystery kids! Initially, the kids wanted to call this Poopy loop... because kids... Nothing to do with the scenery. Actually, this is probably one of my (Beardface) new favorite places. Apparently they saw a sign along our journey around the lake and that's ALL THEY TALKED ABOUT.
First, a little bit about trail trees...

So these trees were thought to be created by the native americans as signals or markers... most that I have come across usually have a nose that points in the direction of a water source. This tree is no exception; although, its bearing will also point you in the direction of the cache. Once you have the bearing, you'll want to take direction and travel 837 meters as the crow buzzard (the only birds we saw the day we hid this were buzzards, lol) flies. Shouldn't be too much bushwacking, as your path should be laid before you.
