This is 5 of 6 caches in the Outer Space Interservice Rivalry series. The series resides just outside of the historic Kennedy Space Center. This series is dedicated to all the military personnel who became astronauts, and their respective branches of service. Semper Paratus is their guide. Their pledge, their motto too. Their always ready, do or die. Aye, Coast Guard we fly for you! This cache is dedicated to the small, but distinguished group who broke the surly bonds of Earth. The astronauts are: Daniel C. Burbank (STS 106 STS 115 ISS 29/30) Bruce E. Melnick (STS 41 STS 49) This small cache is for this small group, who's drive and skill exemplify the spirit and motto of the United States Coast Guard.
