Another park and grab alsong the newly paved Middle Fork Road. This spot is designated as Russian Butte View. It has long been another unofficial camping spot with no facilities. There is a very tiny parking pull-out. A short 30-40 feet walk through the woods to reach the bank of the Middle Fork of the Snoqualmie River will reward the viewer with a scenic view of Russain Butte on the other side of the river. The day I place the cache was a beautiful winter day with a nice dusting of snow on the upper levels of the mountain. Although you do not need to leave the parking area to snag this cache, you will want to go to the river bank for the view.
