Small parking pullpout along Middle Fork Road. There is a hiking trail around an oxbow lake turned to wetlands. This is a another quick park and grab at the trailhead, You do not have to leave the parking area. If you turn back and look across the road, you can see the remnants of wooden pillings from a railroad bridge crossing a bend of a creek. The railway was operational in the late 1920's and early 30's, I think, and was part of the extensive logging industry here in the Middle Fork Valley. There are remnants of huge stumps throughout the valley.
