Geocache Description:

Good news! For 2018, we upgraded our geotrail to an official Geocaching GeoTour! Learn more about Pennsylvania's Clearfield County GeoTour, which offers a series of 5 related geocaching adventures: Forgotten Clearfield, Hometown Heroes, Waterways, Cemeteries, and Parks and Recreation. Codes are hidden within each cache. Collect 25 codes from across all 5 series and you qualify for a collectible prize. If you complete all 5 and have your passport validated, you can receive a trackable geocoin.

The coordinates for the first stage will take you to a state historical plaque with information you will need to get the coordinates for the final, which takes you to the are where this person is laid to rest.

From the Obituary: "He was born in Penfield in 1881. He had a talent for music but never had a music lesson. A cousin taught him how to read the staff. He wrote band music for every instrument. He taught band in Weedville and then in Butler, but was never paid for his teaching. His talent all went to music, none of it went to business. He died in Butler in 1955, a pauper." Inscription on his stone reads: "He Gave His All for Music"
