Welcome to Cheung Chau Island. The east coast of the island features a long stretch of beach that is much loved by the locals and travellers. On the weekends, the beach is a paradise for swimmers and surfers, picnickers and tourists posing for selfies.
The cache is situated in the upper part of the beach - which is a lot more quiet compared to the lower part with toilet and other amenities. The cache is safely hidden inside a rusty staircase that has aged gracefully with the salty wind from the sea.
Note: You can retrieve the cache while standing on sand - there is no need to get on the rusty staircase.
