Geocache Description:

The Hull Botanic Gardens Railway Station opened on 1853 just in front of where you are, where Pearsons is now. Originally called Hull Cemetery, it remained open until 1964 and it was demolished in 1976.

It was named after the Hull Botanic Gardens, which were located opposite the station until their closure in 1889. The gardens' site is now the location of Hymers College.

This station was a stop on the Victoria Dock line which went to Hornsea and Withernsea. You can see two painted tiles on the wall that make reference to this train line. The next stop on the line was Stepney in Beverley Road, which is still in place and where you can find another geocache!

The cache is a magnetic key safe and there is no space for trackables. Please bring your own pen.
