Starting in 2012, 16 painted fiberglass hearts were placed around the town of Bel Air and surrounding areas. All 16 hearts represent unique local culture and businesses. Local sculptor Adrienne DeRan was commissioned to make the blank hearts, while artists from across Maryland will be were invited to submit design ideas.
Parking is available in the nearby grocery lot for free, or metered parking is available about a block away, which is free on weekends and after 5pm on weekdays. Parking for the final is available at metered parking, free on weekends and after 5pm on friday, or in the lot for free after 5pm, permit parking M-F until 5pm only.
