This is our first cache, located in the wonderful Wombat State Forest not far from where we live. We chose this location as it an intersection to loads of fantastic walking tracks to further explore. Keep your eyes peeled, as you may encounter wildlife such as grey kangaroos, wombats, wallabies, echidnas, koalas and 150 species of birds.
The Wombat State Forest is an outdoors lover’s paradise. Four-wheel-driving, bush-walking, picnicking, horse-riding and bird-watching are just some of the activities that can be indulged in here. It has also gained a reputation for being one of the best places in Victoria to ride a mountain bike, with more than 100km of single track just waiting to be discovered.
The cache is a small sistema container containing lots of great swaps suited to children, located just off the road.
