Cherry Tree Track needed a trail.
This cache has been hidden on the Northside of Ararat in the Ararat Regional Park. Plenty of space to picnic, cache, park and let go of a little steam. A qiuet spot, on a fire track.
Welcome to Ararat Regional Park, one of the least exploited areas in Ararat, and an ideal location to get away from the noise, enjoy the solitude and listen to birds- unless other people have the same idea. Pletny of evidence around that people camp, ride horses and dirtbikes on this track. Sawpit Flat Rd is well maintained, but I suggest driving at 40kph when the bitumen runs out.
I suggest parking at the intersection of Cherry Tree Track, and proceedng on foot. The track is well maintained and most vehicles should be able to drive it.

Easy parking within 30m Cherry Tree Track 1, the start of this trail.

- This is a narrow, but well maintained track.
- Local traffic, farmers.
- Dirt Bikes and Horse-riders
- Council workers performing maintenance.
- Dept of Parks and Recreation.
Other Hazards:
- Livestock
- Mosquittos in wet weather
- Watch out for snakes in warmer weather, use a walking stick to tap the ground
- Watch out for kangaroos and walabies drive slow.
