Geocache Description:


This cache is near the South end of Emeryville's North-South Bike Route, which runs from here to where it branches either continuing straight North along the Amtrak route and to Aquatic Park, or switching slightly to the East before continuing along the Doyle Street Greenway all the way to Berkeley Bowl. Either route feels calm for bikes, so [original cache owners] Leatherboot Mom and Dad had been riding along it before Leatherboot Kid came along and introduced them to geocaching. Either route will take you past more caches. At this end of the bike route are some newer apartment buildings, then as you go North you pass the Emeryville Artist Coop, some public art with a geocache, a development site on the left between the route and train tracks, and along you go. Anyway, this cache was originally created to prepare for a local event and is a homemade hide. *There are two old hosts nearby, but the hiding spot became a frequent restroom stop for the neighborhood hounds. Decided to move this to a higher and drier location just a few steps away. Please return to the same location to keep it hidden.
