Modern comfort in een oase van groen --- Modern comfort in an oasis of green

’t Wit Huys, Kleine Kerkhofstraat 133, werd oospronkelijk ontworpen als een 'relais de chasse' en omstreeks 1904 omgebouwd tot logement voor Franse zusters. Zij stichtten op het aanpalend domein een school voor de dochters van de Franstalige klasse. Begin jaren zestig maakte de taalwet een eind aan deze opleiding. De zusters vertrokken terug naar Tours en de aanpalende school werd uitgebouwd tot wat vandaag de school van Haverloo heet.

Het originele 'relais de chasse' veranderde sindsdien verschillende keren van eigenaar tot in 2007. De nieuwe eigenaars bouwden het om tot B&B en slaagden erin de originele charme met modern comfort te combineren. Elke kamer heeft een verschillend thema, ontworpen door de eigenares, een ervaren interieurarchitect. Het huis is gesitueerd in een unieke parkomgeving en biedt een grote discretie.

’t Wit Huys, Kleine Kerkhofstraat 133, was originally designed as a 'hunting relay' but around 1904 it was rebuilt as a home for French sisters. They started a school for daughters of the French high-society on the adjoining domain. But the language legislation of the early sixties put an end to this kind of education. As a consequence the sisters returned to Tours (France) and the adjoining school was reconstructed into today's 'Haverloo', a school for special needs education.

The original 'hunting relay' has since changed hands several times up to 2007. The new owners have turned it into a B&B combining the original charm with modern comfort. Each room has its own theme, designed by the landlady, an experienced interior designer. The building is situated in a unique park setting and offers absolute discretion.
