Up there? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

ari54321: I'm very sorry to have to archive this cache, but its time has come.

When I placed the cache, I had intended to cut and replace the zipties every 6 months to a year to make sure it didn't get too tight around the tree, but now that I'm not in DC as often as I was, this kind of maintenance isn't feasible. In order to prevent tree damage (and the neighbors cutting the cache down again), it's time to archive it.

The cache had a good run of 3.5+ years with 67 finds. I've greatly enjoyed reading all the logs and hearing of all the Fizzy squares filled in. Thank you to all who found it!

Geocache Description:

This geocache is easily visible from many angles. The challenge comes in reaching it. Special equipment is not needed per se, but you will have an immensely difficult time without the right tool (hence the 4 star terrain rating).

The cache is hidden within the public right-of-way (between the sidewalk and street) next to McMillan Reservoir. You do not need to enter or search on US Government property to find this cache. It is not on or adjacent to the fence. Please be as discreet as possible so as not to disturb the neighbors. USE STEALTH!!!

Street parking is present, and is free up to 2 hours. There is also a bus stop nearby.

Finally, please do not hurt yourself or try anything stupid. I am not responsible for your actions. Good luck and have fun!
