On the day that these caches were being placed it was fun to watch the visitors of different nationalities, genders and ages strolling, walking their dogs, or just leisurely taking pictures and chatting about the beauty of the day and the sinkhole. There was even one young woman who ran by....at LEAST 6 times! I guess it was a safe place for her jog. By the last time she passed, we were practivally friends!
It is VERY impoprtant that you stay on the trails, abide by the Park guidelines, respect the other guests...and enjoy this beautiful area. Don't rush. Stop and look around and you may even find hidden "treasure"! And, when you do, pleae replace the cap carefully and the container safely.
UPDATE: 16 Feb 20. You will, for the time being, need to follow the trail TO THE RIGHT to reach this since the bridge is currently out of service.
Hours:
Devil's Millhopper Geological State Park is open 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Wednesday through Sunday. The park is closed Monday and Tuesday.
Fees:
Admission to the park is $4.00 per vehicle, up to 8 visitors per vehicle. Pedestrians and bikes are $2.00.
