This beautiful peaceful Reserve was purchased by the Kauri Bushman's Association and Whangarei Forest and Bird in 1954 as a memorial to the Kauri Bushmen who worked in the area .
There is a lovely well maintained loop walk here ...please stay on the track due to Kauri Dieback disease in other forests which we do not want to spread here ,
I originally had planned to plant a cache in the bush ; ; but then decided to put one near the entrance instead .
Hidden in plain sight ; quite near ; but NOT on the Wagon . Not in trees either .
Small....bring own pen . Look up .
Tree cover was tricky for Co ords ; so thats why I have given these exact hints .
