Geocache Description:

Welcome to historic Washington on the Brazos, the very site Texas declared independence from Mexico in 1836. This area was bustling at one time, and this cache will teach you what life was like for early Texians. From Independence Hall to Robinson's Ferry, take a walk to learn about the beginnings of Texas as a Republic.

Also on site is the phenomenal Star of the Republic Museum and Barrington Living History Farm, both wonderful additions to your visit to the park. The park is open sun up to sun down, but the public buildings are open 10-4:30 or 5.

This is a multi cache that will take you on about a half mile walk on a dirt/gravel pathway to gather information to find the final cache location. The cache itself is large enough to hold treasures, trackables and logbook.
