Cache Info: This is a medium sized plastic ammunition container.
In 2002, someone expended a lot of time and effort to build this large rock trail entrance portal. In 2002, the Nature Preserve had a woods road that was on Arabia Mountain trail maps as an approved trail to the rock outcrop. The trailhead at the rock outcrop was difficult to discern and still is. Visitors had trouble finding the trailhead, which probably accounts for someone building the rock entrance portal.
The woods road is currently used for emergency access to the rock outcrop. It is gated at Klondike Road.
Park at the Arabia Mountain Nature Center Parking Lot on Klondike Road and take the bike path south to a tree with an L shaped trunk where you can cross Klondike Road . Proceed around the gate and take the woods road to the rock outcrop.
