Geocache Description:

Luce Bay

The Machars Peninsular is hemmed in by two large bodies of water, Luce Bay on the West and Wigtown Bay on the East with the Solway Firth being to the South. The water of Luce is the river which empties into Luce Bay and this is the subject of our letter L. It starts it's journey up in the Galloway hills and winds it's way down through New Luce and finally into Glenluce before reaching Luce Bay. The scenery all along the coast here is stunning and there are many places ideally suited for a pic-nic.

L is for Large
Well we couldn't get to letter L and not give you a large cache to find. Please only take something if you have something big to swap. Let's keep it fun for the next visitor.

L is for Letterbox
Of course, being letter L this also had to be a letterbox hybrid cache so there is a box in the cache with stamps and a stam pad. Please do not remove these from the cache.

L is for Lodgings
Plenty of room in here for even the largest of trackable items so don't forget to bring those TBs & Geocoins that you've been hanging onto for too long. We will try to keep the cache stocked with one or two for exchange.

L is for Last
If you happen to be doing the alphabet series in a clockwise manner around the Machars then this will indeed be the last cache that you will visit. On the other hand if you visit these going the other way this will be the first cache that you will happen upon so we have made it similar to Letter I meaning L is for leaflets
Plenty of info in here to make your visit to the area a busy one.
