This is a simple micro placed in the tiny hamlet of Kilton Thorpe. Kilton Thorpe was mentioned in the Doomsday Book of 1086. This cache will lead you to an information board detailing the nearby medieval settlement. Unfortunately not much of it is visible today. Even the medieval ridge and furrow fields mentioned on the board cannot be seen from Ground Zero. In effect, this is a cache purely for "numbers", so don't expect much. But we do think it's a pleasant place to stop for a few minutes in order to hunt for a cache.
