This cache is going to be archived on Monday 10th August

We are archiving all of our 100+ Yorkshire caches.
We'd love you to come and find any caches you can before that date.

Although we encourage you to take as much swag as possible before the caches disappear, please do NOT take the cache itself. Cachers are still trying to find our caches and, once we archive them, we're hoping to bring them in ourselves.

This is a simple, camouflaged box hidden just within Kilton Woods.

Kilton Castle is a 12th century castle. Unfortunately it was abandoned by the 16th century and is now in a very ruinous state. The castle is designated as a Grade 1 listed building and became a scheduled monument in 1929. Only a few parts of the once grand structure now remain. From the cache location (which is situated beside the nearest public right of way) the remains can be vaguely seen just below the Castle cottages.
