Lovely walk on the fell road around Little Mell Fell. Little Mell fell is the smallest of all the fells at only 505 metres.
Great for a quick car, bike or walk cache. Quiet roads nearly undiscovered by tourists
Walk around to the west to the Hause, to Climb Little Mell or east along the fell road over the bridge then right onto Folly lane bridal path to Cove. At the top of the lane turn around to see the Pennines and the Eden valley on the right and Blencathra on the left. Carry on and you will discover a bench to rest and take in the peaceful wonderful views overlooking Ullswater and surrounding mountains. Watch out for wildlife, deer, red squirrels, and buzzards soaring on the thermals.(if it ever gets warm)
