Geocache Description:


You will need to bring a pen and paper to write down notes and sign the logbook at the end.

The cache is in a small aluminium container with a ring on the top.

Garstang is a very old town with lots of History. Some of them include: The Royal Oak Hotel, Greenhalgh Castle, Wyre Bridge, Oldest Cottage, etc...

The cache can be found by using some of the information from these old landmarks on Blue and Circular Signs. You will need to work out 5 different numbers to find the coordinates to the final cache.

Garstang's Oldest Cottage:
A = The first digit of when the cottage was rebuilt
B = The second digit of the high street number the cottage is

The Royal Oak Hotel:
C = The last digit of the century that the hotel was Garstang's Principal
D = The second digit of when Celia Fiennes stayed at the hotel.

The Wyre Bridge:
E = The second digit of the year that the bridge was built.

As per usual keep your eye out for muggles.
