Welcome to Jonathan Hatcher Skateboard Park! This park is part of the Columbus Parks and Recreations Department and is used by the local kids (and adults) as a place to work on all their "rad" skate or bike tricks!
Please note that the park closes down at 11pm and according to the Parks and Rec website, "Entry after hours is considered criminal tresspassing..." The website doesnt indicate when it opens. Probably safe to say that when the sun is up, the park is open!
To find the coordinates for the cache...it's actually pretty simple...but you will have to go inside the park (only when it's open of course). I can just imagine what the skaters will think as cachers come in to find the info they need!
The listed cache coordinates bring you to the park gate...just past the gate you will see a plaque that any city puts on a civic project: who the mayor and city council members were at the time, who built it, etc. This plaque contains the info that is required to find the actual cache!
The actual cache is located at: N32 27.ABC W84 59.DEF
A = The first number in the date after the words "City Charter."
B = The number of letters in Councilwoman Woodson's nickname.
C = The last number in the date after the words "Consolidated Government."
D = The number of letters in the mayors first name.
E = Add the two numbers in the date the park was dedicated together. Dont include the year. For example, if it is April 11, add 1 + 1.
F = The number of letters in Councilman Allen's first name.
Pretty simple, right? The final is located fairly nearby...you'll look for a small bison tube, so BYOP.
For extra points...take a photo of one of the muggles doing a trick!
