The carved Storytree was designed and created by the Mount Taylor Estate community, and carved by artist Bryan Carrick on one of the trees that was left standing after the devastating 18 January 2003 firestorm. It was unveiled in October 2005, and the tree has become a symbol of the Mount Taylor Estate community’s spirit and resilience. The tree was restored in 2012 which is expected to prolong its life for many years.
Take your time to read the personalised ceramic squares which are very humbling. The cache is a well hidden medium sized cache .It contains a large book for signing and a pen plus over 20 swaps. Good luck and enjoy the location.
