Geocache Description:


To find the cache you will need to complete the Reverse Wherigo Cartridge. Never done one of those before? No problem - I will guide you through it, it really is very simple. First things first, you do NOT have to do the cache walking backwards. You could try, but nobody except YOU is responsible if you fall over.

You are the owner of a "Reverse-Cache-Box", which will tell you the distance to the final cache, but not its direction.

The Cartridge from -Waldmeister- is available to download here.

To locate this Wherigo cache, it is your task to use the Wherigo cartridge (download it by clicking the link above) which will only give information about your distance to the final location. The aim is to use your virtual Reverse Cache Box as few times as possible and record the number of uses in your log, if you like. All the instructions and information you need to complete this cartridge is contained within it. It can be played in English or German. Ja, ist das klar?

To start you will have to type a code into your player. See below the information you need to collect for this.

Take the code with you on your quest, you might need it if there is a problem with your Wherigo player. The cartridge itself has proven very stable in use elsewhere - I have done quite a few without any problems.

When you reach the final, you will be given some statistics. It'd be nice to know how you got on so post these to your log if you like. Additionally, you will get a personal password which you can enter into the Code generator if you select "create" instead of "play" at the start of the cartridge. Save this if you want to, so you can build your own reverse cache wherever you want in the world (Just tell -Waldmeister- about your plans).

Please do not write any hints into your log about how and where you found the cache or post photos that might give the final location away. Thank you.

To find the code to activate the Wherigo cartridge you need some numbers, these can be collected as you look around the outside of the village hall.

 

First set of 6 number are obtained from the North facing wall (the front door).

 

Number of letters in the word on the front door. = A

Look at the building alarm, it has a phone number on it, what is the 4th number. = B

Look at the building alarm, it has a phone number on it, what is the last number. = C

Look at the building alarm, how many letters on the large font. = D

Look at the building alarm, it has a phone number on it, what is the 2nd number. = E

Look at the building alarm, how many number are in the middle set. = F

 

Second set of 6 number are obtained from the East facing wall.

 

Look at any of the windows, there is 2 halves, subrtract the top set from the bottom set. = G

Look at all the windows along this wall, how many are there. = H

Look at the phone number below the Giraffe, what is the 3rd number. = I

Look at the phone number below the Giraffe, how many 1s are there. = J

Look above the Giraffe, how many letters are in the 2nd word (name of the nursery). = K

Look at the top half of the window, how many panes of glass are there. = L

 

Third set of 6 number are obtained from the South facing wall (concentrate on the one with the chimney only).

 

Facing the South facing wall, there is 3 windows, subtract the top panes of glass from the bottom panes of glass. = M

Look at the street sign, subtract the smallest number from the highest number, then subtract the number of letter from that. = N

Look at the street sign, subtract the smallest number from the highest number. = O

Look at the street sign, add the number of letters together for the name of the street. = P

Facing the South wall, look up towards the roof, how many air vents are there. = Q

Facing the South wall, how many windows are there. = R
