We were on our way to the ‘Assassination of Mr Owen of Yandilla’ when we saw this quaint disused church and cemetery. Great drive through the farmland and some real Australian history.
Couldn’t really find out too much about this place with no signs anywhere to point me in any particular direction but heres what I did find. St Paul’s Anglican Church (Grasstree) opened in 1903 and it has 35 graves, mostly of the same few families of which some of the roads are named after, Wright being one of them. As you will see the church has been deconsecrated but the grounds are kept well. I can’t begin to imagine all of the Sunday services, weddings, funerals and then to let all just end, shame really.
Don’t know about you guys but we have a grave yard prop of fake flowers in the geomobile for these types of caches. Please take a walk around the graves and be respectful.
The cache is no where near the graves, you are looking for a camo’d bison. Happy hunting.
