Geocache Description:

For the 28th annual Clean Up Australia Day, the geocaching community is invited to take part in a Cache In Trash Out (CITO) Event along Buffalo Creek in Ryde.

~Meeting Point: opposite 3 Robinson Street, Ryde.
~Date: Sunday, 4th March 2018.
~Time: 11:00am to 12:00pm (11:00hrs to 12:00hrs).
~Bring: strong gardening (type) gloves, sunscreen, water and enclosed shoes. It is also recommended you wear a long sleeve shirt, pants and a hat. Wet weather gear is also suggested in case of inclement conditions.

We will meet at the posted co-ordinates and split into groups to tackle the stretch of creek between Laurel Park and the lower Field of Mars Reserve. The CITO Event should last for about an hour and we will take a group photo at 12pm. You are welcome to continue cleaning up the site after the official event ends.

Please be advised this will also be an official Clean Up Australia Day event, so we may be joined by members of the general public (a.k.a. muggles).

Arrangements have been made with Ryde City Council to pick up and dispose the trash we collect on the day.

Please post your 'Will Attend' log if you are able to lend a hand and we look forward to seeing you at this year's joint Clean Up Australia Day & CITO Event.

We would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which the event is located, the Wallumedegal (Wallumattagal) people of the Eora Nation. We also would like to pay our respects to their Elders - past, present and emerging.
