OZGeomuster M1 Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

the_garbageman: With some personal health challenges in recent years and growing kids with diverse sporting commitments, maintenance is not as achievable as it used to be. Indeed, my involvement in any form of geocaching in general is pretty limited at present, so I will create some space on the board on focus on ALs, which I don’t need to maintain!

Geocache Description:

Welcome to the OZGeomuster GeoArt (OZGM)

The GeoArt was created to add an extra element to the Lake Macquarie Geocaching area. We hope you have as much fun finding the caches as we had creating them. This cache has been placed on behalf of the OZGeomuster.

The cache is not at the posted coordinates. Solve the puzzle below to locate the cache.

Caching on our way to the OZGeomuster along the M1.

We had packed up the car with all our camping gear, GPS, phones, food, and extra batteries.. We left quite early from Sydney as we wanted to grab a few caches along the way. We stopped at our first cache of the day GC5Y8XY (Berry Nice), and very nice it was to start off with a smiley. Next on our to-get list was GC188Y8 (K9 Capers), This was a T4, and a nice bushwalk, again a quick find at GZ. Hitting the road once again we stopped at GC343VG (Bragg Holt Memorial). This was a little harder, however still got that smiley. A short drive and we had another smiley at GC59ZBW (CAW #9). Back on the M1 and a stop off at GC3RNZP (Bill & Ben) We had noticed that this one has a few DNF's, however we were not on that list after a good 10min. Jumping back in the GeoMobile and next was GC1WP0X (Blackboy on Tanilba Knoll). Nice location, and a short distance to a multi GC2P524 (Sunrise Point). By this time it was almost lunch and we had been given the coords of a possible T5 unpublished cache of S32 44.088 E152 02.813 (Bulls Island) so we asked a local to take us over to the island, and after a good 30min searching and eating lunch we had been given the wrong info. Oh well, it was a nice stop for lunch anyway. We checked the maps and the to-get list and realised that we had forgotten to grab a Jasmer Filler cache for us, being GCQHD8 (Among the Gum Trees) so it was back in the car for the long drive back down the M1. We arrived and made the find very quickly. "We better head to the Muster now" I said. So back north we travelled and grabbed two more caches on the way to the Muster being GC5VQVC (Classic Motorcycles #Norton Dominator) then GC5VQTB (Classic Motorcycles #Triumph Thunderbird).

We arrived at the OZGeomuster and had a great weekend, meeting lots of people from all over Australia. During the weekend we also grabbed some great GeoArt that read OZ-GM.
