On a lovely walk around some of Little Mell Fell between Thackthwaite and Cove.
It is a bridle way with views of the Pennines and Blencathra on the Thackthwaite side and Ullswater on the other side as you walk. Plenty of sheep and sometimes the odd deer, red squirrel, buzzard,hares. Adders are said to be on LIttle Mell, but we have never seen one.
At the destination take in the wonderful view of Ullswater.

Please park carefully as the lane is still used by the odd farm vehicle, but no public vehicle access..
