The Allen Boase park in the lakes estate is a beautiful area to explore you can find a council installed jetty (it's a great place to explore by tinnie or kayak) and you can make your way around the entire wetlands on foot. Some of my explorations have led to a possum building a paperbark dray at night, owls, sedge frogs, turtles, magpie geese and even a pet pig. Keep your eye out for this shy critter and make sure he is not exposed to passer-byes.
