Geocache Description:


An event with the opportunity to meet old and maybe some new caching friends in a lovely NT area on Easter Sunday between 1330 and 1500 : NT refreshment and toilet facilities are available nearby.

The event will be held in the Penrose estate walled garden which is accessed by following the tarmac footpath to the stable and cafeteria facilities. If you have problems GC5737Z Safety's Stroll, Grinding On is a very short distance way. Look for the huddle of obvious cachers and caching flag.

Penrose NT Estate is a lovely area with many walks and if its been warm the bluebells may be coming into bloom, but just a maybe. There are plenty of caches for those who are not local or perhaps haven't been found by those that are. I aim to have at least one new Earthcache to come out on the day not too distant from the event.

I have been advised by the NT ranger that the NT car park can often become full so be prepared to walk a little way if you use the other recommended parking spots. I believe the event to be wheelchair accessible particularly from the NT car park. Some pre planning might be in order - If you message me I can point you to some alternate spots for an odd car or two particularly if mobility is an issue.

There will be a tub to discover, drop & retrieve TB's and I will have quite number of geocaching tokens with me that are up for swap so if you're looking for a particular one or any not in your collection they're up for grabs on a one for one swap basis. Many usual attendees also have their own and may be amenable to getting rid of some if they bring them along.
