On the bridle way between Cove and Thackthwaite only a short distance from the road so a stop and grab would be possilble.
It is a nice walk to Cove, with views over the valley to Pennruddock, Penrith and the Eden valley to the east with the Pennines in the distance. And Blencathra to the west.
Just past the bridle way on the road to the west the road drops down to a pretty bridge.
Please park with care as the roads are narrow.
No vehicle access on the bridle way which is sometimes used by farm vehicle's.
