Geocache Description:

This geocache is #2 in a series of caches entitled "The Secret Life of Larval Fish: A Geocaching Adventure."

About this cache: Being a small animal in water is hard, and gravity works to pull larval fish to the depths of the ocean. In response, larval fish have evolved many methods to prevent sinking. Visit this cache to learn about adaptations used by the larvae of one of California's favorite fish species.

Help make this cache fun for future finders: Please leave the stamp and ink pad in the cache! Rehide the cache well!

About the series: Did you know that many species of fish have a larval stage that looks very different from the adult form? Fish larvae vary hugely in how they look, how they behave, and how they interact with their parents. Come explore the wide world of baby fish!
