Deze oude tijgerpython wordt gevreest door de hele jungle. Kaa is een van Mowgli's beste vrienden, nadat hij Mowgli samen met Bagheera en Baloo redde van de Bandar-Log (het apenvolk). Kaa staat bekend voor zijn gave om zijn prooi te hypnotiseren, alleen bij Mowgli lukt dat niet. Als Kaa niet bezig is met vervellen of zijn nieuwe huid te bewonderen gaat hij graag samen jagen met Mowgli. (pincet kan van handig zijn alhoewel niet noodzakelijk)
