Geocache Description:


This is a FAMILY oriented event at Paul B Johnson State Park.  We hope you can plan on camping for the weekend and participate in a few of the other associated events in the park.   Event HQ will be at pavilion #34 (the newly modified coordinates) Water and Elec are both available and restrooms are near by. Watch for more details but a rough Schedule for the weekend will be:

Fri April 27th 7:00 pm  Campfire Gathering (shareing geocachng stories and expedition planning) GCXXXXX

Sat April 28th 8:30am -  Expedition Checkin at HQ (posted coordinates)

9:30 - Geocaching 101 Sharing Session – (lets convert some muggles) at Expedition HQ 

12:00 - Picnic Lunch at Expedition HQ  We will have Makings for PBJ Sandwiches feel free to bring your own

12:30- planning for D/T’s Sharing Session (tips and tricks for the big D’s and gear planning for the T’s)

6:00pm - Expediton Celebration. (Pot Luck Supper)

Day Use

A day-use entry fee is charged on a per vehicle basis. Entrance $4 and $.50 per person over 6 people.

Things to Do

A variety of recreational activities and facilities are available at Paul B. Johnson State Park. Facilities for use include: visitor center and game room, picnic tables and grills, picnic pavilions, playgrounds, splash pad, disc golf, swimming, and nature trails. Fishing, boating, and water skiing are available on Geiger Lake, a 225 acre fresh water lake.
