Geocache Description:

Hidden in the bushland of Lysterfield Lake Park is a tree unique amongst all the trees in the park. It is the Bison Tree, known for the unusual fruit that spring forth from its lower branches. They are bison tubes, of varying colour, shape and size.

One of them is special – it contains a geocaching log. Your task is to locate this special fruit and write your name therein.

Now back to reality:

Over the years, I seem to have collected a good number of bison tubes distributed throughout my home. Once collected into one group, the number was way more than I would ever need – I rarely hide a micro cache, so I only need a couple to keep me going.

You’ve probably done a cache where you must open a number of containers until the real cache is found. This is like that, with a twist. If the first bison you open is not the real cache, you may keep it and take it home with you. Please – only one per family/geocaching team. i.e. if your family consists of a number of caching teams, please only take one between you. That way it is fairer for those that follow.

If you’re a FTF Hound, then finding the tree will be easy, but finding the cache may take more time. If you search later on, there may be no empty bisons left, so the search for the real cache will be much easier.

As for the First to Find. Only one person will find it first, so only one person can claim FTF. My cache, my rules. No sharing the FTF.

If you also have way too many bison tubes and you wish to rid yourself of them, why not add some to the tree?
