Geocache Description:


Each year, thousands of people gather with their loved ones on St. Patrick's Day to share a “traditional” meal of corned beef and cabbage. It's such a tradition for some people - like Mrs. coleclan - that they cannot even function on St. Patrick's Day without it. Believe me, we learned that one the hard way last year on vacation, when we found ourselves driving through western South Carolina, and there was no place within 200 miles serving it. You would have thought it was the end of the world.

Well, that's NOT going to happen this year. You are invited to a little get-to-gether to share in this St. Patrick's Day traditional celebration. We are encouraging you to bring your favorite corned beef & cabbage dish to share, or, if you are like me, and you don't really like corned beef & cabbage, bring a different dish. I'm bringing Shepherd's Pie.

The event will take place at Indian Riverside Park, along the Beautiful Indian River in Jenson Beach from 12:00 to 1:30 pm on Saturday, March 17th.

Even if you are don't bring anything to share, please come join us anyway. I'm sure there will be plenty to go around. After the event, there are lots of things to do in the area. There's a Children's Museum, a fishing pier, a beach, a splash pad for the kids, a butterfly garden, paved walking/running trails, and yes, even several geocaches. 

​

So, please mark your "will attends" and let's have a great time sharing some great Irish dishes with great friends!          Hope to see you there!
