United Skates of America
(defunt and torn down)

This was the popular hang out spot for my friends. Every Friday night we paid $5 for teen night, skated to the middle of the rink and gabbed the night away. Then again every Sunday, I went for open skate and actually skated.

There was the dino and a wheel for bday parties. Oh and plenty of cheap games and tacky prizes to win, and can't forget the cheap food.

But good thing cannot last forever. The arena was closed down, abandoned and reduced to rubble. All that remains is the fading and chipped purple paint of the walls that once surrounded the parking area
