An explorer goes to Africa to find his friend Diamala, but he doesn't know which tribe Diamala belongs to. There are three tribes in the area,
the Elephant Tribe, the Leopard Tribe and the Crocodile Tribe.
- A person belonging to the ELEPHANT tribe, always tells the truth.
- A person belonging to the LEOPARD tribe, always lies.
- A person belonging to the CROCODILE tribe, sometimes tells the truth but sometimes lies.
In order to find his friend Diamala, the explorer must find out what tribe Diamala belongs to. He asks three Africans - each from a different tribe - two questions:
"What tribe do YOU belong to?
AND
What tribe does DIAMALA belong to?"
AGASSU answers: "I am not an Elephant. Diamala is a Leopard."
BANTU says, "I am not a Leopard. Diamala is a Crocodile."
COFFI states, "I am not a Crocodile. Diamala is an Elephant."
