When geocachers all over the world come to Mainland China to find and hide geocaches, they often face so called 'GPS Offset' issue and get confused. The following example may explain this problem:
The posted coordinates of this cache should be positioned at the green point on the map imagery above. In reality, if you go geocaching with officially licensed maps in China (such as Google Street Map using in geocaching.com), that coordinates will somehow shift to the red point on the imagery. To reflect the actual position (the green point) on such maps, you will have to use coordinates N39° 54.626 E116° 23.848 instead. The cause to this strange issue and the related coordinates conversion would be up to you to figure out...
